INSS benefits above the minimum wage have a readjustment of 3.43%

The beneficiaries of insurance whose income is higher than the minimum wage will see their benefits readjusted to 3.43%, according to the national price index to the consumption (INPC).

The index was made official by an order of the Ministry of the Economy, published today (16), at Official Journal of the Union (DOU) ]. The adjustment is retroactive to 1 January 2019.

The ceiling for benefits paid by the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) is now R $ 5,839.45 (before being R $ 5,645.80). The INSS (Institute of Social Security) contribution bands for employees, domestic workers and sub-contracted employees have also been updated.

The INSS reported that rates were 8% for those who earned up to R $ 1,751.81; 9% for those earning between R $ 1,751.82 and R $ 2,919.72; and 11% for those earning between R $ 2,919.73 and R $ 5,839.45.

These rates, relating to January wages, should be collected only in February, since in January, the salary of the insured

Amounts defined

The basic amount of social security, the minimum value of INSS benefits (pension, sickness, death pension) and aeronaut's pensions will be R $ 998.00. The floor is equal to the new national minimum wage, set at R $ 998 per month in 2019.

For those receiving the special pension due to victims of thalidomide syndrome, the amount increases to R $ 1,125.17, as of January 1, 2019.

In the allowance for incarceration, paid to the dependents of insured persons in a closed or semi-open plan, the treatment of the badessment will be limited to 1,364 R $ 43.

Organic Law on Social Assistance – For the Elderly and the Handicapped Living in Extreme Poverty Situations -, the monthly income per annum and special pensions for dependents of the victims of hemodialysis of the city of Caruaru (PE) also spend R $ 998.00. Under Law 7, 986/89, the benefit paid to rubber producers and their dependents amounts to R $ 1,996.00.

The family wage quota is now R $ 46.54 for the insured. with a monthly remuneration not exceeding R $ 907.77 and R $ 32.80 for those whose compensation is greater than R $ 907.77 and less than or equal to R $ 1,364.43.

Benefit adjustment factor granted in accordance with the respective dates of entry into force, applicable from January 2019.
