The company was informed Friday (11), after listing "Navy of Brazil" on the roof of the building located under the tower of Farol da Barra, last week.

According to Iphan, the notification was made because the lighthouse is returned and requires authorization for any intervention. Thus, the company has not been authorized by the federal agency, the table has an irregular character.

In a note sent on Saturday (13), the navy indicates that it was not officially notified by Iphan, but that she "takes the measures deemed appropriate with the competent authorities to regularize table".

The company also stated that it "remains powerless to maintain the Barra lighthouse at the highest degree of conservation, as it has done since," and that the painting was made from newly installed materials, without damaging or even altering the cultural heritage. .
