LinkedIn Lite for Android can now be downloaded from the Play Store

Thinking of more basic smartphone users, with less memory and less storage and processing capacity, LinkedIn has just brought the Lite version of its Android application to Brazil. The application takes up less than 1 MB of space and offers a faster experience, bringing the key features of the full version.

According to the company, in July alone, 81% of LinkedIn accesses in Brazil came from mobile devices – an increase of 7% over the same month of 2017. Of this total, 60% comes from Android, and LinkedIn currently has 34 million Brazilian users.

Among the features present in the Lite version are things like news feed, and users, network connections, posts and job search. With the reduction of the size of the application, Lite can reduce the use of the smartphone space up to 80% compared to the main application.

LinkedIn Lite is still charging five times faster, regardless of the model of the device or network on which the user is connected. The application can now be downloaded for free from the Play Store
