Measles control actions continue to be strengthened in all health units of the municipal network, with the supply of vaccines for people aged six months to 49 years. The Department of Municipal Health (Semsa) is also stepping up actions in places with high population concentration, such as in schools in the municipality and state.

On Tuesday, June 26, the 16th Epidemiological Information Bulletin on Measles Cases was published. The new bulletin reports that Manaus has registered, within a week, 283 new suspected cases of the disease. A total of 1,724 cases of measles have been reported since February, when the outbreak began in the municipality, with 265 confirmed cases, 113 abandoned and 1,346 awaiting laboratory results.
