Marcelo Yuka's latest message on the Internet speaks of violence

Victim of an aggression that left him paraplegic, the musician Marcelo Yuka, who died late Friday night, took up the themes of violence and justice in his latest message on the Internet. In the message, the founder and former drummer of the band O Rappa appears, holding a large poster with the words "the people confuse justice and revenge". The message was shared on October 27, the day of the second round of elections in 2018, with hashtags #democracy, #viradadoamor, #antifa and #viravoto.

On November 9, 2017, Yuka was targeted. shots fired at his car while he was trying to prevent a woman from picking it up at Jose Higino Street in Tijuca, in the north area of ​​Rio.

On television, one of the last appearances of the musician was in the show "Love & Sex" of Rede Globo, in the episode aired four days before the broadcast on October 23. In the attraction commissioned by presenter Fernanda Lima, Yuka took up the subject and asked questions of mothers who lost their children because of the violence.

"I never waited for revenge, maybe justice will come back to me one day, still bitter to this day and I would have got nothing," he said at the time.
