AnTuTu, the company that develops the popular reference application for disambiguation, released the ranking of the world's most powerful Android phones, based on tests conducted in December 2018. The surprise of the time is the change of leadership.
The device in question is the Red Magic Mars of Nubia gaming device, featuring the Snapdragon 845 and is one of the few devices on the market to have 10 GB of RAM. The camera obtained an average score of more than 320,000 in tests recorded in December, nearly 11,000 points higher than the second, Mate 20, also Chinese Huawei
It is interesting to note that the ranking remains completely dominated by Chinese manufacturers. In this edition of the list, there is not even one device from a company from another country in the world. Five of the listed devices come from Huawei, two from Xiaomi, two from ZTE / Nubia, OnePlus 6T closing the top 10.
As always, it's important to note that AnTuTu scores take into account four criteria: CPU performance, graphics processor performance, memory and user experience. The final score is the sum of these four evaluations.
It is also worth noting that companies have been trapped repeatedly by altering their results in benchmarking applications such as AnTuTu. In some cases, the devices are configured to have access to higher than normal processing power when one of these applications is running to inflate the results. This extra power is usually not always available to the user in everyday use situations, which results in a lower performance than reflected in the final score. For this reason, it is always nice to have a back seat with reference applications.
