The government of Minas Gerais published on Monday (28) an epidemiological bulletin monitoring cases of dengue, chikungunya and zika virus in the state. According to the state health department of Minas Gerais (SES-MG), other cases are expected for this season.
Dengue in 2019
To date, two dengue deaths have been studied in Minas Gerais and 7,505 probable cases linking confirmed and suspected reports of the disease.

According to SES-MG, a larger case register is expected for this period, characterized by hot and rainy months. The reason is the seasonality of the disease. The state is paying attention to this increase in the number of cases of diseases transmitted by Aedes.
The briefing also reported that actions to control dengue, chikungunya and zika viruses were conducted throughout the year. Among the actions, according to the CUE:
– A technical meeting with regional health organizations was held in September 2018 to review the activities of the National Program for the Control of Aedes-transmitted Diseases
– Surveillance PROMAVS municipal indicators (Minas Gerais State Health Surveillance Monitoring Program). Among all the indicators, one of them relates to the obligation of registration of the agents of fight against the endemies (ACE) with the CNES (National Register of the institutions of health) by the common, maintaining a link in the service. This creates continuity in arbovirus prevention and control actions;
– Development of national and municipal emergency plans for the prevention and control of Aedes-transmitted diseases. From the phase in which the municipality is located, certain actions are triggered by the state.
