Defense Minister Fernando Azevedo e Silva said Wednesday (9) that the "peculiarities" of the military career grounded "the need for a differentiated regime" of social security for the category.

One possibility was to set a minimum retirement age for military personnel. Currently, the category can retire after 30 years of service.
