The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Sérgio Moro, said in a video published Sunday in a government social network that the draft anti-crime law to be sent to the National Congress will include "fairly objective measures" and " easy to explain "against corruption, organized crime and violent crime.

Moro will present and discuss the project on Monday (4) in a meeting with the governors and secretaries of security in Brasilia.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the proposal will be forwarded for badysis of deputies and senators in the "coming days".

Moro and his team have been working on the project since the end of last year, when the government transition period began.

The anticrime bill is one of the priority targets for the first 100 days of Jair Bolsonaro's government.

In the video published this Sunday, Moro did not anticipate the details of the project. According to the minister, it will be a "simple" text and with "fairly objective measures".

"These are measures against corruption, organized crime and violent crime, in our view, these three problems go hand in hand."

According to him, "this is a simple project, with very objective measures, very easy to explain point by point, in order to face these three problems ".

Moro argued that the organization of the crime "fueled" corruption and violent crime.

"A lot of homicides are related, for example, to drug trafficking or the drug debt dispute," he said.

According to the minister, corruption "empty" the public resources necessary for the implementation of "effective" security actions.

According to Sérgio Moro, "the main idea" of the project is "to improve the quality of life" of Brazilians who wish to "live in a safer country".

The minister pointed out that the government can not solve all the problems, but that it can "lead" the process of change.

"The company must keep in mind that the government does not solve all the problems, but that it can be an actor and lead a process of change," he said.
