New Renault Duster will win the pickup version in 2019

In Brazil, we have the Renault Duster Oroch, Dacia, a Romanian manufacturer that develops the Duster, will manufacture its own truck from the SUV. We have an idea of its appearance, because a prototype had already been built by the company Romintingia. This was not official, but Renault so liked the idea that he began to homologate this pickup to launch it in 2019.

In an interview with 0- 100.ro Hakim Boutehra, general manager of Renault Romania commercial vehicles, announced plans for the truck based on the new Duster. To this end, the engineers of the Titu technical center have joined the staff of the Romturingia itself.

Little is known about pickup, but Boutehra said "it will be a machine designed to work, not like Oroch". Although Oroch is the most affordable pickup truck in its segment, Renault Romania still considers it a lifestyle product and is therefore outside of Dacia's plans. Photos

In addition to announcing the new truck of the Duster, Boutehra even commented a bit on the "prototypes of the Duster Duster". Dacia is preparing for 2019. The brand will launch at least three special editions, including one of the SUV. Dacia has become an important brand for Europe, making it the 14th best seller in 2018, surpbading even Kia. The Romanian brand sold a total of 528,249 vehicles, an increase of 11.7% over the previous year.

If all goes well, the new Duster pickup truck will start being sold in the second quarter of this year, starting with Romania.

In Brazil, we are still waiting for the launch of the second generation of the Renault Duster, as well as the second generation of the Renault Duster. The brand's initial launch plan was to work with Sandero and Logan during the first half, while the second half would be the perfect time for average weight collection in Alaska, leaving the SUV until 2020. The delay of Alaska production in Argentina, however, may cause the new Duster to arrive in 2019.
