The Denuvo anti-hacking software is accused, once again, of disrupting the performance of PC games. The Overlord chain has performed a series of tests with games running with and without a program, and the results show that there is a difference in performance.
Benchmarks were made with Dishonored 2 games, Lords of the Fallen, Bulletstorm, Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, Moto Racer 4, RiME and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. They all had factors such as royalty tables mapped with and without anti-piracy software and it was found that the games worked better without Denuvo.
higher frame rates and load faster in their versions without anti-tampering.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, who had the Denuvo removed by a crack, ran on average 65.4fps at 41.5fps. With the program, the variation was 63.2 frames per second with a minimum of 11 frames per second. Dishonored 2, whose anti-sabotage was removed by Bethesda, recorded an average of 56.8 to 46 fps in landmarks with Denuvo. The edition of the game without the anti-piracy solution has reached a peak of 60.8 frames per second.
