After introducing a smartphone integrated to the screen without cutting off the screen, the next version of Samsung should be a handset without a traditional speaker, leaving the monitor without a notch.
The new Sound on Display, which works with the on-screen piezoelectric actuators for sound output, is expected to be presented at CES 2019, which will take place in Las Vegas in January.
Technology is not exclusive to Samsung. Reports from other manufacturers, such as LG, have already shown interest in the adoption of piezoelectric speakers also on TVs.
No official information on the use of technology in the upcoming Samsung smartphones has been released.
