The Governor of Espírito Santo, Paulo Hartung (MDB), decided that he will not run again this year. The statement was made after meeting the secretaries' team Monday afternoon in Vitoria.

According to a press release, Hartung said that "it's time to pbad the baton". He commissioned the state from 2003 to 2011 for the first time and returned in 2015.
The governor also declared his support to no pre-candidate in the state. There are already two names on the scene: Senator Rose de Freitas, who left the MDB for Podemos; and former governor Renato Casagrande (PSB).
Hartung also considered leaving the party, but in April he announced that he would continue under the acronym of President Michel Temer.
The governor is part of the political group that defended the entry of foreigners in this year's election contest. He had conversations with Luciano Huck and Joaquim Barbosa – but they both gave up work. (N) = n (n) = n (n) = n (n) = n (n)
