For the second year in a row, Petrobras announced the maintenance of the average price of gasoline in refineries. The state company also maintained the value of stable diesel. With that, the average price per liter of gas will remain at R $ 1,4537, while diesel will remain at R $ 1,8545 between Monday and Tuesday (8).
Last Thursday, the public company had announced a 0.9% drop in the average price of gasoline. Diesel has remained stable since January 1st, with an increase of 2.52%.
The diesel subsidy program on the first day of the year was put in place after the end of the Union's diesel subsidy program, which had been put in place by the government to the following the truckers' strike at the end of May. One of the main claims of the category was the reduction of fuel prices.
Petrobras adopts a new format in the price adjustment policy since July 3, 2017. According to the new methodology, readjustments are more common, including daily.
In March 2018, the company changed its form of readjustments and began to disclose the prices of the liter of gasoline and diesel sold by the company in the refineries and no longer the percentage of readjustments.
Since the beginning of the new methodology, the price of gasoline marketed in refineries has reached a maximum of 10.88% and that of diesel, 36.78%.
