Police search "The Emperor", suspected of attacking members of the government in Rocinha

Police identified the man suspected of attacking two police chiefs in Rocinha, in the southern area of ​​Rio, on Sunday morning. Both soldiers were shot and taken to the hospital at that time. The man was identified as Wadson da Silva Veloso, nicknamed "Emperor". To help the authorities in the search, the portal of the wanted persons, of Disc-Denuncia, launched Monday afternoon a poster which stamps the face of the suspect. For information leading to his capture, a reward of $ 5,000 is offered.

On Sunday morning, a soldier and corporal of the corporation were shot dead in this community. The Prime Minister reported that teams regularly patrolled the area called Vila Verde when police approached a man on a motorcycle. At that time, he fired at the army and then escaped.

Wounded, deputies were rescued and taken to Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Gávea, also in the southern zone, one of them having been treated and released. The other had to be transferred to the Central Military Police Hospital (HCPM), in the district of Estácio. His health condition, he repeated on Sunday, was considered stable.
