Federal Highway Patrol (PRF) officers seized more than 600 pounds of marijuana on Monday afternoon. The action took place during an approach to BR-040, in Petrópolis, in the state's Serrana region. A 33-year-old man, whose identity was not disclosed, was arrested on charges of drug trafficking.
According to the PRF, the Ford / Vision model vehicle was heading to Rio de Janeiro from the highway when it was approached. During the inspection, the agents found that the car had a flight record on May 1 in the state of São Paulo.
