Mons. Carlos was born on October 17, 1967 in Botucatu. He studied philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Faculty of Our Lady of the Assumption in São Paulo. In 1996, he obtained a Master's degree in Moral Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome and a Doctorate in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Bishop José Eudes was born on April 30, 1966 in Barbacena, in the Archdiocese of Mariana (MG). He studied philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy of the Salesian Fathers of São João del Rei (1988) and at the Institute of Philosophy of St. Thomas Aquinas in Belo Horizonte (1989-1990).
He was ordained a priest on April 22, 1995, and incardinated in the Archdiocese of Mariana, where he held the following positions: Parish Vicar of Our Lady in Congonhas (MG), Parish Priest of São Gonçalo do Amaranth, at Catas Altas of Norway (MG), of Our Lady of the Rosary, at Rio Pomba (MG), and Santa Efigênia, at Ouro Preto (MG)), Archdiocesan Counselor of the Ministry of Youth, spiritual director of the great seminary, member of the presbyteral council and college of consultors, representing priests of the archdiocese of regional and national ecclesial organizations and episcopal vicar.
On June 27, 2012, was appointed bishop of Leopoldina and received episcopal ordination on September 15 of the same year.
