Pope Francis left Wednesday from the Rome airport to travel to Panama, where at least 200,000 Catholics from 155 countries are expected to attend the 34th World Youth Day (WYD).
This is the third WYD of Pope Francis, 82 years old and the first organized in a country of Central America.
Francisco must arrive at the Panama International Airport Wednesday at 4:30 pm (7:30 pm in Brasilia). , having traveled 10 countries and covered 9,500 kilometers in 13 hours of flight.

Panama is the 40th country visited by Francisco since his election in 2013 on his 26th trip abroad.
