We started with the newcomer, already on the parking lot of the Raccoon police station. As already seen in one of the last trailer published in the new Resident Evil 2 c is in this area that Leon will meet Ada for the first time, exactly as in the game. ;origin. Before we continue, however, we decided to come back a little while exploring the underground area of ​​the police station. There was nothing new, not too many enemies to fear. Unfortunately, some details of the story will have to be omitted from this overview because of the restrictions imposed by Capcom, but we can say three things about this segment of sanitation and treatment: first of all, the crocodile exists; then, the additions to the story as a whole, badociated with photorealism, made everything even more special and visceral; and, finally, Ada is playable!

Coming back to Ada, it is worth mentioning that it now has a very spy-tech accessory: a scanning device that will be of paramount importance in the game. And, in addition to being very agile, she will also solve puzzles. His game ends after a while and we return to Leon to meet old acquaintances and continue until we find the spy in a red dress. However, the demonstration with the rookie police officer ended shortly thereafter, and then we pbaded the tests with Claire.

With Chris Redfield's sister, we took control shortly before the end of the first build we tested with her. That means we're watching the whole scene again with Police Chief Brian Irons, and we're also saying goodbye to little Sherry Birkin. From there, we explored the underpbades of the police station through the parking lot, the morgue, the kennel and the generator room.

It is important to note how all this part is terribly dark. Fears are constant and the monsters are literally hiding … Especially the Lickers! They are present and in large numbers throughout this excerpt, and it is a bit painful to defeat them. However, in this demonstration, everything is essentially based on the exploration and solving of puzzles, so we inevitably had to defeat some of the enemies we encountered.

This is a particularly difficult choice because, as we have already mentioned, ammunition is really scarce. for all playable characters – different from the original game. It also helps the enemies to be very resistant, so that each encounter is in fact an important choice: to escape or stay; save or fight? We opted for the last two alternatives of each question and, as time went on, the game became more and more difficult.

The lesson that remains to be remembered is therefore: recognizing the territory and rationing the elements is essential. And a good tip is to always keep a close eye on the map, as this will help the player in these two quests, but we will not go into more detail, at least for the moment. In any case, we solved the riddles and discovered the police station, ranging from the patio to the top floor, even entering the clock tower.

There are a lot of collectibles and very little space, so the comings and goings to the chests were always constant, bringing back a feeling felt long ago in the Resident Evil series: this constant fear, capable of making you record progress with each new visit to a safe place. There was even a moment when I really needed to quickly enter a shelter, my already red and stunning health, trembling with fear in front of the horde of enemies who had gathered behind Claire's back. It was epic.

And all that despair is a pretty name: Mr. X. The T-00, this giant wearing a green coat, is back and pursues Claire all the time. It's even scary and fascinating to see him chasing the heroine, opening the way for him, literally. On the other hand, shut up in an area and start listening to his footsteps and suddenly hear the change of soundtrack … It's hopeless. Now, imagine solving the puzzles of the police station with this big shot chasing the biker? That there is a heart!
