Puma revives his shoes from 1986

Puma announced the relaunch of his RS computer. Tennis came into the world in 1986 and had a very advanced technology for the time. On the front, she looked like most sports shoes, but her back was equipped with a computer chip that stored the user's operating data, such as: the time, the distance traveled and the calories spent. To view this information, you must connect it to an Apple IIE / Commodore 64 computer (see the image below with the original announcement). In this way, he had functions almost similar to those of a fitness app so far.

The new version of RS-Computer follows the same style, but with updated technology (see photo below). Thus, it has LED indicators, a proprietary application, a Bluetooth connection to Android or iOS devices and a USB cable to recharge your battery. Still in the retro line, its RS Computer Shoe application is designed with 8-bit graphics, bringing an extra 8-bit game for fun, especially nostalgic games. In addition, it has a three-axis mini-accelerometer and a 30-day data storage capacity – in this case, the number of steps, the number of calories and the distance traveled.

However, Puma's old school sneakers must no longer be easily purchased: only 86 pairs of shoes were produced, sales starting on the 13th of this month. Soon, at that time, the most avid collectors of limited editions have already taken the shoe home. The company did not talk about values, only that it would be available in branded stores and some retail chains in Tokyo, Berlin and London.
