After nearly three years of work, the gauchos will be able to return to appreciate the landscape on the edge of Guaíba, in Porto Alegre. The first stretch of Guaíba Bay Urban Park will be delivered to the population this morning (29), following a revitalization process.

The landscaping project, designed by architect Jaime Lerner , aims to encourage coexistence between the city and its waters. For this, four wooden bridges, a platform and two other paths will bring the public closer to Guaíba.
The recreation complex will also include four bars and a restaurant, bike lanes, an illuminated fiber optic floor and a public boardwalk. After everything is ready, 30 security cameras will help in the surveillance of space by the municipal guard, who will have a landline in the new border.
The new edge lighting is also highlighted. The poles are inclined to increase the range of light, which is all directed, and a detail refers to the double Gre-Nal. On the one hand, for those going to the South Zone, the lighting becomes red. For those who walk in the opposite direction, it is blue.
