This is a great promise, and the greatest hope of family members for the lawful treatment of homicides. Now, at the end of the most spectacular criminal proceedings of recent years in a German court, it is clear: the promise has been broken.
Because the efforts of politicians and courts have not lasted for a complete clarification. Soon everything began to focus on the face known to the main suspect, Beate Zschäpe, now convicted. The network of accomplices and supporters of the far right, essential for criminals; the undeniable involvement of the secret services in the failure of the authorities to clarify the crimes: all this fell gradually into oblivion.
