What was the best mobile phone of 2018? We did our own badessment, but we also asked our users what were the favorite cell phones of the year. We have published two Facebook surveys, one with high-end smartphones and the other with middlemen, who have won the Samsung Galaxy S9 + and Moto G6 Plus as winners in each category.
Among the most expensive handsets, the iPhone XS Max was retained. second place, while Zenfone 5 was the finalist among the highest. The polls ranged from 2,000 to 4,200 votes and came from individual duels, placing Galaxy S9 + and iPhone XS Max face-to-face, like the Moto G6 Plus and Zenfone 5 in the final. The Samsung mobile phone garnered 58% of the votes, while the Motorola mobile phone won the best with 51% of the vote.

But for us, which cell phone has done better? We have prepared a comparison with the best of the year, but among the finalists in each category, our last note would reverse their position. The iPhone XS Max achieved the final average of 4.33, while the S9 + was second, tied with Note 9 and the LG G7 ThinQ with 4.25.
Among the middlemen, the disparity is even greater, because the Moto G6 Plus has obtained the third lowest note in the category: 3.58. The Zenfone 5, by cons, did not like more than the Galaxy A8.
Galaxy S9 +
Launched in March, Samsung's top was a little more "identical" than its predecessor in terms of design, but it brought improvements that we liked very much.
The cameras were reinvented and brought one of the biggest innovations of the year: the variable aperture of the rear camera. With this tool, the smartphone makes automatic adjustments based on the amount of light available in the environment, which allows for great daytime and nighttime pictures.
The performance of the Galaxy S9 + also attracted attention, as did the screen – with even fewer edges than the S8. The weak point was the battery, which had deteriorated compared to S8. Since then, the price has fallen by nearly a thousand reais, from 4,899 to 3,999 rand (price verified on the website of Samsung 21/12).
Moto G6 Plus
] If the Galaxy S9 + on the battery, the Moto G6 Plus has one of its strengths. In our test, this is the only category in which the Motorola mobile phone has been evaluated to the maximum.
In other questions, the mobile phone pleased us with its screen, its touch, its audio, its performance and its design, but proved to be average with its cameras, its weight and user-friendliness.
The same goes for profitability, since the handset price has not changed, at least in the Motorola store. In May, it was on sale for $ 1,699, the same price as today.
