Samsung is one of the few companies that still invests in smart watches, from companies like Apple and its Apple Watch. A few days ago, two handsets, the Galaxy Note 9 and the Galaxy Tab S4, were certified by the US FCC Regulatory Agency. Now, it seems that the Gear S4 has been licensed to be sold in Europe to ECC.
As expected, few things about the device are revealed, and while some things have already appeared in the leaks, Samsung still needs to have something stored under the sleeve.
One of the first big differences should be the use of a larger capacity battery, which should result in a longer duration. This might be possible because of the smaller processor, which can give more space internally. There are rumors that the company will still add a "subscreen" under the rotating circle that may display some menus that depend on the currently open application.
Among other changes, improvements in sleep monitoring, blood pressure monitoring and resistance to water and dust are expected in the notebook. It should also be sold in two different sizes to compete with Apple Watch. It may happen that the company retains the two current variants, Frontier and Clbadic, with new color options.
With the launch of the Galaxy Note 9 scheduled for August, many believe that Samsung will register the Galaxy Tab S4 and Gear S4 at IFA 2018, which will take place between August 31 and September 5.
