The inauguration ceremony of President-elect Jair Bolsonaro has so far confirmed the presence of 12 heads of state. Itamaraty expects 60 foreign delegations to participate in the inauguration.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the list of confirmed authorities consists of three additional vice-presidents, 11 foreign ministers, 16 special envoys and three directors of international organizations. For security reasons, the agency said it would not disclose the complete list with the names of each of these authorities.
Presidents of neighboring countries such as Maurício Macri (Argentina), Sebastián Piñera (Chile), Mario Abdo Benítez (Paraguay), Tabaré Vázquez (Uruguay), Iván Duque Márquez (Colombia) and Marín Vizcarra (Peru).
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will also land in Brasilia. On Thursday (27), Itamaraty announced that the vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Assembly (Chinese Parliament), Ji Bingxuan, would be the representative of China.
In addition, ten other authorities are confirmed, among which the Chancellor of Argentina, Jorge Faurie. The guest list for the ceremony is 140 people.
