Sending an email to Chromecast and Google Home arrives in a few hours, but you can fix the problem

As we reported today, owners of Google Home and Chromecast have had difficulty using these devices. The smart speaker refused to respond to commands such as "Hey Goole", returning with a failure, while the dongles have failed to broadcast the content on the monitors.

Users complained to Google that there were people restarting their devices. But that did not work. Failure on Chromecast was a problem for businesses and schools that use these devices for presentations.

Fortunately, Google has not left users on the road for too long: an update is already in progress. The search giant today announced the fix on its Made by Google account on Twitter, and said it will be deployed automatically on devices "in the next six hours."

It was exactly at 7:18 pm, so it should not take a long time for everyone to reuse its devices. However, Google says that homeowners can get an "immediate solution" by restarting devices.

We have a fix for Google Home and Chromecast. It will be automatically deployed in the next 6 hours. To restart now, reboot your device → https://t.co/CM4ov63F46. Thank you for staying with us!

To restart, owners must open the Google Home app and access the "Devices" menu. From there, simply select Google Home or Chromecast, tap the three-dot menu button at the top right and choose Settings> More> Rebot. The device will reboot without having to be disconnected.

Do you have any of the two devices? Did you restart them normally? Tell us in the comments below.
