Seven people were shot dead between Sunday night (20) and dawn Monday (21). According to information from the 35th Battalion (Itaboraí), four deaths occurred in the Marambaia district of Itaboraí at 11.20am. Around 1 am, three people were killed in the area called BNH, São Gonçalo.
According to the military police, the killings are linked to conflicts between rival gangs of traffickers. According to witnesses, four men reportedly arrived armed and wearing a hood in a silver car. They said that they were going to kill everyone involved in the drug trade.
One of the dead in Itaboraí was identified as 46-year-old Débora Rodrigues. She worked when she was killed. She had a trailer for snacks and was hit when the men started shooting.
In addition to the seven deaths, at least on Wednesday the wounded were taken to the public hospital Alberto Torres.The case is being investigated by the office of the homicide of Niterói, São Gonçalo and Itabora (DHNSGI)

Since then, the district of Marambaia has been strengthened in the maintenance of order. Military police vehicles circulate around the area in search of criminals.
After dawn, it was still possible to see the bloodstains of the victims in one of the places where the deaths had occurred.
On Thursday (17) Corporal PM Rodrigo Marcos Paiva was shot dead near the place of death in São Gonçalo. He was murdered in front of his mother while he was heading to a stall.
