Spotify launches Lite version with less data consumption

One of the biggest problems for so-called input devices or basic intermediaries is the internal storage memory consumption. In addition, those who typically own these devices typically have more limited mobile data packets. So, companies have released lite versions of their apps, just to continue on smartphones from emerging countries like Brazil and India.

While the traditional application occupies 340 MB in the device storage, Lite only needs 13.66 MB. The interface is very simple, with the tabs start, which brings the newly performed songs as well as the suggested lists; research and bookmarks. This also gives you the ability to track the amount of mobile data used.

Obviously, the software is much more limited. It does not offer download functionality for offline playback and offers no extreme quality or Spotify Connect functionality. In addition, it is not possible to control playlists, which are played only randomly – even for Premium users.

What is strange is that the application does not allow premium subscribers select in the specific songs you want listen, and it's the same story in the playlists. The news for the moment has been distributed in its beta version for Android only. To download, click here
