Minister Dias Toffoli, President of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), suspended the blockade of R $ 443.3 million in the accounts of Minas Gerais. The minister has complied with the injunction filed by state attorneys to prevent the federal government from blocking the amount as collateral under a loan agreement with Banco do Brasil. The decision was signed on January 4th.

In the Supreme Court, the local government stated that the federal government had notified the down payment, but that no administrative procedure had been initiated, a procedure that would be sufficient to claim the failure.

In 2012 and 2013, the state has made two loans, one of the amount of 3.6 billion rubles for the development program of Minas Gerais and the other $ 1 billion for the road infrastructure program.

According to the Minister, the decision taken during the period of hearing at the Court is justified in order to avoid the paralysis of public accounts of the state. As of February 1, Minister Celso de Mello, rapporteur of the file, will badyze the case.

"In view of the table, I grant the provisional urgency to decide to the Union to refrain from blocking the value of R $ 443.3 million relating to l 39; execution of the counter-guarantee clauses of the contract in question, until further badysis by the eminent minister of the event, "decided Toffoli
