For gasoline, the decrease was 0.24% in the average price from R $ 4, 50 per liter to R $ 4,489. The value represents an average calculated by the ANP with the data collected at the stations, and as a result, prices may vary depending on the region.

In the same week, Petrobras increased the price of gasoline in refineries by R $ 0.01, or about 0.36%, following its price policy that resets the values ​​almost daily in order to follow international prices. . The transfer or not to the final consumer depends on the stations.

During the year, the price of gasoline for the end consumer reached a peak of 9.5% – well above the inflation forecast for 2018, of 4 , 11% given the broader Consumer Price Index (CAPI).

Meanwhile, the diesel finished the week by 0.06 percent, averaging R $ 3.378 per liter. As for gasoline, the figure represents an average calculated by the ANP and may vary by location.

The price of diesel was the subject of protests that resulted in the 21-day truckers strike in May. Since the day before the demonstrations, the average value of diesel calculated by the ANP has decreased by 6%, about 0.21 reais. The amount provided for by the agreement between the government and the truckers to stop the downtime was a decrease of R $ 0.46. As agreed to close the strike, the value remains frozen in the refineries.

The ANP also monitors weekly average prices of the gas stove and the ethanol liter .

This week, the value of ethanol in the pumps experienced its seventh consecutive decline. The average price per liter rose from 2,775 to 2,744 reais, a decrease of 1.12%. In the same way as with gasoline and diesel, the price represents an average calculated by the PNA and may vary by region.

In the year, the average price of ethanol already accumulated drop of 5.7%.
