The bee attack kills 15 dogs and leaves 30 wounded in the main area of ​​Brasilia | Federal District

According to the fire department, the swarm was in a house near where the animals were. The soldiers were called around 2:30 pm to respond to the incident, but when they arrived at the scene, eight dogs were already dead. Seven others died en route to the veterinary clinic.

Animals surviving the attack remained interned until the last update of this report.

According to the experts, a large number of bee stings can cause problems in several organs and, in people or allergic animals, can close the airways. In case of major attacks, with more than 500 bites, for example, the amount of venom may be consistent with the attack of a snake.

At 8 pm, the bees had not yet been collected. Firefighters reported that capture was not possible because the insects were scattered in the afternoon. The army said that they would do the procedure at night.

The owners of the residence and the person in charge of the kennel were advised of the procedures to be followed to avoid further attacks.
