The body of musician and composer Marcelo Yuka was buried early Sunday afternoon (20) at the Campo Grande cemetery in the western area of Rio. Parents, friends and fans have filled the place to pay their respects.

Marcelo Yuka died at the age of 53 at the Quinta D'or Hospital, in São Cristóvão, in the northern zone.

Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1965, Marcelo Fontes do Nascimento Viana de Santa Ana, Marcelo Yuka, was one of the founders of the group O Rappa. In the group, he was principal drummer and composer until his departure in 2001.
Yuka wrote lyrics on topics such as urban violence, racism and social inequalities. "My soul (peace I do not want)", "Leave me" and "Every camburão has a small slave ship" , for example, were written by him.
