A family friend stepped in to take care of Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and the daughter of her 12-week-old ex-Jen Harley after the couple quarreled Sunday night.
A spokesman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirms to People that Harley, 31, was arrested for domestic use after an incident in which she dragged Jersey Shore star with his car while their daughter was in the back seat.
According to the spokesman, "the child was collected by a family friend before the arrival of the agents on the scene".
The spokesman says that a suspicious vehicle call arrived around 22:22. A patrol unit was sent to the intersection and determined that a man and a woman were fighting for a vehicle. The appellants reported that the male was bleeding and the car had two flat tires.
The agents contacted Ortiz-Magro, 32 years old. They also made contact with Harley, who was with another citizen. The officers determined that Ortiz-Magro was out of the vehicle and that Harley was away while he was holding the vehicle, shuffling it briefly, according to the spokesman.
According to the spokesman, an arrest can not usually be made in the case of a crime that the officer was not in the presence of – but it becomes a mandatory arrest if they can prove three things: that there is a domestic relationship between the people involved, that a battery has occurred, and that a person was the primary aggressor. According to the spokesman, Harley was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested for a domestic battery charge of misdemeanor.

Ortiz-Magro apparently had minor injuries to his mouth and arm and redness on the road, confirms the spokesman. He was not transported to the hospital.
Ortiz-Magro did not film Jersey Shore Family Holidays when the incident occurred and MTV had no comments when it was reached by people. An Ortiz-Magro representative did not comment either. Harley could not be reached.
The Clark County Detention Center on Tuesday confirmed to people that Harley had posted a link and is no longer under their care.

A source told people on Tuesday that Ortiz-Magro and his ex were at a barbecue with friends earlier that day, where they had a "verbal fight." On the way back, "the fight has intensified" and Harley, "said the source.

The source also confirmed that a common friend stepped in to take care of the little girl from the ex, noting that "everyone is so scared for this baby".

According to the source, Ortiz-Magro had "done his best" to make things work with Harley for the sake of their daughter.
"If the child was not involved, it would be over," the source said. "He's constantly trying to make it work for the sake of his daughter, but we hope it's the last drop and that he will not put his daughter and himself in danger."
"It's not perfect, but it's the aggressor in this relationship," the source added. "It's obvious with his pattern of behavior."
Ortiz-Magro and Harley welcomed their first child together, their daughter Ariana Sky, on April 3 and made headlines for their explosive altercations. Earlier this month, the cops were called when they quarreled at Planet Hollywood while Ortiz-Magro was shooting season 2 of Jersey Shore Family Vacations.
