The death of a passenger after a medical problem causes theft of United to Dulles, according to authorities

DULLES, go. (ABC7) –

A pbadenger died after a United Airlines flight to Boston had to land at Washington Dulles International Airport on Tuesday night because this pbadenger had a medical problem, according to authorities.

Officials say that the United 1888 flight from Houston to Boston landed in Dulles around 11:49 pm. because of the medical problem. The doctors at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority were on the scene of the runway. The other pbadengers were taken by bus to the Dulles terminal and rebadigned to another plane bound for Boston.

United has issued the following statement on the incident:

"The 1888 United Flight from Houston to Boston was diverted to Washington Dulles in response to a medical emergency on board.Medical personnel met the plane at the door.We are saddened to learn that our customer is dead and we offer our most sincere condolences to the family. "
