The Descoberto Reservoir reached its maximum water storage capacity at 1:03 am this Thursday (27), according to the Federal District Sanitation Corporation (Caesb).
The main reservoir of the capital – responsible for supplying two out of three buildings – has not reached 100% of the volume since April 9, 2016. 992 days have pbaded since.

The Discovery has not reached its maximum capacity Since April 2016, however, the same year, Brazilians began to face the water crisis. The rationing of water in the capital lasted 513 days and was suspended only in June 2018.
For the president of Caesb, Maurício Luduvice, it is not necessary that the situation recurring because, two years later, the water was less well used. "Today we have a more flexible and robust system that allows us to take advantage of this water," he said.
The overflowing waters will join the normal course of the Discovery River, which is exploited by agriculture en route, or will have a share in energy production when the current reaches Corumbá IV.
