The founder of the largest bitcoin broker in the country died in a car accident

SÃO PAULO – 24-year-old entrepreneur Luís Augusto Schiavon died of a car accident Tuesday afternoon on the João Ribeiro de Barros highway (SP-294) in Marília (SP) . A 20-year-old woman also died in the collision and three others were taken to the hospital.

Guto Schiavon, as he used to call it, was one of the most well-known entrepreneurs in the cryptographic coin industry in Brazil. He was one of the founders of Foxbit in 2014, considered one of the largest Bitcoin brokers in the country.

Under his command, the company captured more than 400,000 customers, earning up to $ 20 million a day, and helped spread the concept of investing in crypto-coins among Brazilians.

In his Twitter profile, Foxbit published a message of regret: "We deeply regret the pbading of the founder and director of Foxbit Operations, Luis Augusto Schiavon, Guto, at the age of 24".

On the Internet, dozens of people mourned Schiavon's death. "Guto has been an inspiration to all young entrepreneurs, God comfort his family, his friends and his admirers," wrote one user.

Guto was born in Marília and lived in Pompeia until 2016, when he moved to São Paulo to devote himself to the society he founded. He often visited the family inside São Paulo.

The body of the businessman was buried at the Pompeia cemetery (SP), in the afternoon of Wednesday (26).

How was the accident

According to the traffic police, the accident was taking place on one lane, while it was raining a lot. The car driven by the businessman ran on the track, overran the track and was hit by another. A truck that was behind could not escape and was also involved in the accident.

Guto traveled with his girlfriend, Ariadny Rinolfi, who was saved and in serious condition.

Three people were in the second car: the 20-year-old student Beatriz Guide, her boyfriend and her father. The three men were saved in critical condition, but she was unable to resist the injuries and died Wednesday morning.

The other wounded remain interned.
