The federal government will release an additional R $ 4 billion in microcredit for the Progredir plan, a program for Bolsa Família beneficiaries and registered in the federal government's single register. The funds can be taken from Banco do Nordeste, Caixa Econômica Federal, Banco do Brasil and Santander. Interest rates vary but can be taken at 1% per month or less.

Progress is a kind of way out of Bolsa Família. It was created in September of last year in order to allow beneficiaries to undertake and qualify. During this month, in 10 months, 3.35 billion reais of microcredits were granted to more than 1.1 million people in the Cadastro Único. The amount exceeded the previously set target of 3 billion reais.
