According to Joel Sousa, Pedro's father, he's fine. However, the child is admitted to an intensive care unit to recover from the operation.

He further explained that the tumor had not been totally removed, only one fragment had been referred for badysis. It is only after a biopsy that it will be possible to know the type of treatment appropriate for his case.

"Doctors are waiting for the treatment to reduce the tumor, because it is very difficult to do surgery without leaving a legacy," he said.

Pedro's situation appeared after his mother's late, Michelle de Sousa, exploded into social networks because of the delay with which his son had been transferred to a hospital where the operation could be performed.

According to her, Pedro was fine, but on November 17, the boy had a fever, vomiting, he was very sleepy and, what the mother considered more frightening: some members began to paralyze.

Sunday (18), the child continued to present the same symptoms. And on Monday (19), the parents took him to a general practitioner. It was reported that the boy had been taken to a pediatric neurologist who had asked him to be admitted to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA).

After that, he was transferred to the Sorriso Regional Hospital, 420 km from Cuiabá, where he pbaded tests and remained there until sent to the emergency department of the capital.

In the race against time and to try to solve the problem, friends and family created a kitty online. However, thanks to a donation, the family got the tickets for São Paulo.

However, the kitty was kept so that Peter and his parents could be kept in Barretos until the definition of treatment.

Joel, a university professor, is currently unemployed. He was looking for work when the tumor overwhelmed the family.
