The president of Fluminense studies to anticipate club elections Under pressure from all parties to resign from his presidency, Pedro Abad ruled out the possibility of leaving his post.

Behind the scenes, however, the club administrator is studying the possibility of convening a general meeting and proposing the anticipated elections scheduled for November 2019. If the maneuver is approved, the election may take place shortly thereafter.

O Globo newspaper, Abad already relies on the very support of the opposition unrelated to United and Forte, like Mario Bittencourt. At an event that was held on Thursday night, the lawyer and defeated candidate at the club's last elections in 2016, raised this possibility.

– For Fluminense, it would be very beneficial to anticipate the elections. Not an election, then another.

Mario's ally with Celso Barros, the former Fluminense director, Ricardo Tenório, was also favorable to anticipation of the fight.

] – The best for Fluminense is an elected president. Anybody. It is necessary to have the legitimacy of the vote to lead the club and get it out of this crisis.
