The second season of The Punisher arrived on Netflix, but we do not know yet if it will be renewed. Given the recent cancellations of Marvel's other series of partnerships with Netflix, the future does not look very bright, but that did not take away the hope of executive producers Jeph Loeb and Steve Lightfoot.

In one In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Loeb commented:

We would like to do it [uma nova temporada] and nothing would make us happier than working with this team and these talented writers. As I have said time and time again, the decision is not ours. We are ready to continue and we would like to do it.

Lightfoot also stated that the recordings had ended before the announcement of the recent cancellations:

We had finished before anything happened. We left [a temporada 2] in this last scene which was intended to [fazer as pessoas pensarem]: "Well, I can not wait to see the third season." It was everything. That's what I wanted people to get, and it's like in any series. If you have been in this business for a long time, everyone has worked on canceled series that you would have regretted not having been. I just hope I did a nice run … My philosophy is to always make each season the last of the seasons. Do not keep anything for the next, even if it means you're stuck.

Recently, the Marvel series on Netflix has had problems, three of which, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil, have already been canceled. Jessica Jones has yet to win a third season with Krysten Ritter as director of one of the episodes, but the future is uncertain after that

The two seasons of The Punisher are available on Netflix.
