The municipality of Nova Friburgo will organize in January 2019 the selection process of 44 endemic agents hired on a temporary basis as part of the actions of the Municipal Secretariat for Health to fight against the mosquito Aedes aegypti, dengue, zika and chikungunya. The number of cases increased from 4,293 in 2017 to 32,245 in October of this year. Confirmed cases of dengue fever have increased by 41%, from 9,715 cases in 2017 to 13,765 in 2018.
