According to the Ministry of Health, three municipalities of Amapá – Ferreira Gomes, Mazagão and Serra do Navio – are in an "alert" in case of outbreak of dengue, zika and chikungunya. diseases transmitted by Aedes aegypti are part of the Rapid Survey of Infestation Indices (Liraa).
None of the state's cities appeared in the worst badessment of the Ministry of Health, with "risk" infestation. The capital Macapá was at the lowest level on the scale with a "satisfactory" level. Reading is done by monitoring neighborhoods in which the Aedes presence rate is higher.
Macapá incorporates a group of nine capitals with satisfactory indexes, in addition to Curitiba (PR), Teresina (PI), João Pessoa (PB), Florianópolis (SC), São Paulo (SP), Maceió CE) and Aracaju (SE). The information is based on data collected in the second half of the year.

In total, 5,358 municipalities in the country (96.2%) carried out some type of mosquito surveillance, of which 5,013 were infestations and 345 were traps. The trap method is used when mosquito infestation is very low or non-existent.
For Amapa cities on dengue alert, among others, the Ministry recommends the development of strategies to prevent mosquito breeding, mainly in stagnant water control areas. The publication of Liraa allows municipalities to map the most critical areas and apply solutions.
