Starting at 0:00 of next Sunday (1), the annual contractual adjustment of highway toll rates of the State of São Paulo comes into force. The contract rates of 19 dealers were adjusted by 2.85% – the CPI-A index was accumulated between June of last year and May of this year.

Due to the readjustment, the trip from Sorocaba to São Paulo by Senador José Ermírio routes from Moraes, Castelinho, and Castelo Branco will be R $ 1.00 more expensive, ranging from R $ 33.60 to the charged amounts now for R $ 34, 60 from Sunday. The most expensive toll in Brazil, on the Imigrantes Highway (very popular with those traveling to the São Paulo coast), will rise from R $ 25.60 to R $ 26.20.

According to the Transportation Regulatory Agency of the State of São Paulo (Artesp), the readjustment was published today in the State Gazette of the State. Since 1998, beginning of concessions in São Paulo, the adjustment is applied every July 1, date stipulated in the contracts of 19 highway concessionaires of São Paulo.
