A line of trucks partially interrupts traffic on Via Dutra in Barra Mansa, south of Rio de Janeiro. According to the concessionaire who manages the highway, the Nova Dutra, the demonstration started at 5:19.
According to the Federal Highway Patrol (PRF), at approximately 8:18 am, protesters occupied the roadside and the right lane. The congestion reached 6 km towards Rio de Janeiro, from km 276, near Bocaininha, to reach km 282.
Until the update of this report, a PRF team was in place to facilitate traffic. Officials said the protesters pbaded trucks loaded with perishable goods, light vehicles, buses and tried to convince other truckers who had gone to join the movement.
Service stations near the section are occupied by trucks. FRPs did not know how many vehicles were parked because of the large number of vehicles.
At approximately 8:15 am, the Nova Dutra reported that the demonstrators were on the side of the road and that there was no slowness or blockade on the section.
Also according to the PRF, at dawn on Monday, four trucks were reportedly hit by stones on the windshield in the same route. Nobody was hurt.
