A 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy were attacked by sharks on Wednesday. Despite being on different beaches, both attacks were recorded on Fire Island, New York, USA
This was the first such attack recorded in the region 70 years ago . After the events, all the beaches in the area were closed to the public.
The two young men were bitten in the lower limbs. According to The Sun an animal tooth was removed from the leg of one of the victims. This predator sample will be used to determine the species that attacked the adolescents.
"I saw something approaching me and suddenly I felt pain, when I looked better, I saw a fin" .
