Two people died and several were injured in an accident involving a bus and a car late Sunday afternoon (10) on RJ-220, at the time of Natividade, in northwestern Fluminense.
According to the Highway Police Battalion (BPRv), the bus collided with a car and crashed into a cliff along the road.
Still according to the BPRv, it was raining a lot at the time of the accident.
The BPRv also reported that firefighters were rescuing the wounded and sending them to the Natividade and Itaperuna health services.
In a note, Auto Viação 1001 reported that the bus had driven the line Campos dos Goytacazes to Governador Valadares and that it was carrying 27 pbadengers.
The company also announced that it was on hand to take care of the victims and that it was available to badist the authorities in its investigations.
The causes of the accident will be investigated at the 140th Nativity Police Station.
