Vale Offers 39 Vacancies for Experienced Professionals in Mozambique

Vale has opened registrations for professionals with experience in the mining industry and who want to support the training of young operators in Mozambique, where the company maintains a coal mine. There are 39 vacancies for professionals who have at least 12 years of experience in operating off-road trucks, excavators and large-scale tracked tractors. In addition to the compensation and benefits program, entrepreneurs will add international experience of up to two years to their program and will have the opportunity to participate in the program.

Inaugurated by Vale in 2011, the Moatize mine produced 11.3 million tonnes of coal in 2017 and is one of the major investments in Mozambique.

"Our goal is to bring the experience of operators from Brazil, where mining has a long tradition, to Mozambique, where this industry is more recent," explains Paula Eller, Executive Director human resources. "We want these professionals to leave a legacy in Mozambique, helping to train operators in the country."

Candidates will serve as instructors in mining operations, must have completed high school, possess a thorough knowledge of equipment and health and safety standards and have a collaborative and leadership profile, and be prepared to live abroad for two years.
