BlackBerry recently introduced the KEY2 smartphone that replaces KEYone, released in February 2017. With high-end features such as two cameras and a good amount of RAM, the smartphone maintains the manufacturer's tradition of combining a QWERTY keyboard with a display touch. This still brings significant changes.
Positioned among premium middlemen, the KEY2 comes to market with the Snapdragon 660 processor and the same 4.5-inch screen as its predecessor. However, there is still no information on the launch of the smartphone in Brazil, as was the case with KEYone. Find out in the following lines the news of the new generation and know the main differences between mobile phones. In terms of design, BlackBerry has kept the tradition. The smartphone is structurally more marked mainly by the presence of the physical keyboard, which refers to the famous handsets launched by the manufacturer in the past. However, the KEY2 is considerably thinner, with 8.5mm vs. 9.4mm of its predecessor.
Due to the QWERTY keyboard, the KEY2 must allocate a display smaller than the current market standard. Like the previous generation, the device features a 4.5-inch IPS LCD screen in 3: 2 ratio. The resolution is Full HD (1620 x 1080 pixels) with a density of 434 pixels per inch (ppi). At KEYone, the rear had a unique f / 2.0 aperture sensor of 12 megapixels, small amounts compared to other competitors such as Moto Z2 Play and Galaxy S8, both with objective f / 1.7. For videos, both smartphones record in 4K resolution.
For selfies, the numbers remained similar: the lens had 8 MP and the f / 2.2 aperture on the KEYone and kept the same resolution but with an f / 2.0 aperture, which in practice should make improvements when it comes to lighting. Both features LED flash.
