A new threshold for message transfer in WhatsApp should soon begin to work around the world. Users will only be able to send the same message received to a maximum of five contacts or groups at a time.
The change must appear in the updated version of the application and is a measure to reduce the volume of false news circulating within the service.
According to the BBC, the news was announced at an event in Jakarta, Indonesia.
If the user attempts to share a photo, video, or text with more than five contacts (people or groups), an alert message will appear indicating that the limit is set to five conversations.
