The value of all foods considered essential in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul has exceeded that of other capitals such as São Paulo (R $ 451.63), Rio de Janeiro (R $ 445.58) $) and Cuiabá (R $ 425.32). The lowest values were found in Salvador (R $ 333.00) and Aracaju (R $ 349.55).

In Porto Alegre, the peak was mainly driven by potatoes, which rose by 25.57%, and milk, whose price increase was 14.48%. The other eight items were more expensive: wheat flour (8.76%), rice (6.56%), meat (4.03%), sugar (3.88%), bread (1.31%), soybean oil (1.25%) and tomato (0.35%).
The price of beans (-3.39%), bananas (-0.77%) and butter (-0.71%) decreased.
